As a travel couple, Jordi and I have stayed in many hotel rooms, villas and resorts together. But obviously I will only ever write about the most impressive accommodations we’ve stayed at.

At White Sands Beach Bungalows Jambiani in Zanzibar, you’ll get your private bungalow right on the beach. You’ll wake up watching the sunrise over the sea from the comfort of your bed every morning. How much more romantic can it get?

Natya Resort Ubud - Bali
A room in the Natya Resort Ubud comes with its own private infinity pool where you can have a floating breakfast while being surrounded by jungle views. We also had a flower bath in our room with a bottle of white wine.Β So if you’ve always dreamt of having a floating breakfast together, this is the place to be!
Villa Sidemen - Bali
Villa Sidemen is a massive private villa with its own infinity pool overlooking the impressive Agung volcano. It also comes with private cooks preparing your breakfast in the morning, which is pure luxury.Β
Thailand
Lebua Tower Club - Bangkok
The Lebua Hotel in Bangkok is famous from featuring in the movie “The Hangover II”.Β Staying in the Lebua’s Tower Club comes with many luxuries, like sushi for breakfast and complimentary cocktails and canapes in the afternoon. The hotel also boasts some amazing views over Bangkok, and you can visit the rooftop bar for a “Hangovertini”.

Greece
Astor Hotel - Athens
The Astor Hotel in Athens has the most amazing views of the Acropolis – both from our private room as well as from the breakfast room! I’d definitely recommend booking a hotel room with Acropolis views when planning a romantic city trip to Athens.
Panormos Village - Mykonos
The rooms at Panormos Village are all absolutely gorgeous, and ours had a private infinity pool with sea views on our balcony. Panormos Village is located in a quiet area of Mykonos, but it’s only a 12 minute drive to Mykonos Town. Compared to other hotels in Mykonos, Panormos Village is more affordable, but definitely not less luxury.
Prime Suites Oia - Santorini
The honeymoon suite at Prime Suites Oia is everything you could ever wish for from a hotel in Santorini. It comes with a private hot tub on the terrace, which boasts amazing views of Oia and the sea. Prime Suites Oia is quite affordable compared to other hotels in Oia. I’ll definitely stay here again if we ever go back to Santorini.
Lesante Blu Resort - Zakynthos
Lesante Blu is an adults-only resort in Zakynthos, and it is pure bliss and luxury. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite which had its own jacuzzi and infinity pool. But the communal infinity pool is impressive as well, especially at sunrise and when the pool turns into a restaurant in the evening.
Gloria Maris Junior Suites - Zakynthos
The Junior Suites in the Gloria Maris hotel in Zakynthos have a shared infinity pool from where you can watch a romantic sunrise together. There is a private jacuzzi with views of Turtle Island inside the Junior Suite as well. Not as luxury as Lesante Blu, but definitely more affordable.Β
Montenegro
Monte Bay Retreat - Perast
The Monte Bay Retreat in Perast is an adult-only resort with only 6 rooms, and their freshly made breakfast is to die for. I highly recommend watching the sunset from their infinity pool overlooking the Monte Bay and Perast town.
Villa Edelweiss - Sveti Stefan
Our apartment in Villa Edelweiss came with a private balcony with sunset views over the iconic Sveti Stefan. The villa is within a short walking distance from Sveti Stefan beach, which is not to be missed when visiting Montenegro.
Spain
SOLYMAR Gran Hotel The One - Calpe
SOLYMAR Gran Hotel The One in Calpe could easily be my favourite hotel in the Spanish Costa Blanca. From the amazing sea views and Ifach rock views, to the delicious breakfast buffet and the freebies in our room – we felt like royalty at this hotel.
Hotel Bahia - Calpe
Not nearly as special or luxury as the SOLYMAR Hotel, but Hotel Bahia in Calpe is a good budget option for couples staying in the Spanish Costa Blanca. The best part of Hotel Bahia are the Ifach Rock views from the rooftop swimming pool.Β

Village Cave House - Cappadocia
At the Village Cave House Hotel in Cappadocia, you’ll wake up to a hot air balloon sunrise from the balcony every morning. It is just so magical! Plus, you’ll be staying inside a cave room, which is something so unique to Cappadocia. You definitely don’t want to miss out on this one.
