Floating breakfasts in a Bali Resort

Everyone has Bali goals and dreams. A few of mine were flower baths, floating breakfasts and private infinity pools.Β Natya ResortΒ in Ubud made all these three of my Bali dreams come true. This luxury resort hidden in a secluded area of Bali is a true retreat for anyone.

A warm welcome at Natya Resort Ubud

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the personnel at Natya Resort Ubud has been very lovely to us. We arrived when it was raining, so we were escorted by someone holding an umbrella for the five steps we had to take to get from the taxi to the check-in desk. We also didn’t have to worry about our luggage at all.

The lady at the check-in desk welcomed us with some fresh cocktails, and asked us what we wanted for breakfast the next morning. We explained that we would like to have a floating breakfast in our private pool, which was no problem at all. We just had to make our choice of breakfast and at what time we wanted to have it delivered the next morning. A butler from Natya Resorts held an umbrella for us as he walked us to our room.

We booked a Family Pool Villa, which came with a living area, a bathroom, and a balcony with a private infinity pool. The living area had a king-size bed with bedside tables, a sofa with a TV and a make-up table. The bathroom came with a bathtub, a shower, a spacious sink and a toilet. Access to the balcony was through the living area and also the bathroom.

Flower bath in our room

Without having booked anything else but our hotel room, we phoned the onsite spa to ask for a flower bath in our room. Within 30 minutes, someone knocked on our door to prepare our flower bath. Having a flower bath was one of my Bali dreams, so I couldn’t be happier.

We opened the bottle of white wine that was in our mini bar, and had a fantastic time together in our flower bath:

Floating breakfast

After a good night’s sleep, our floating breakfast arrived at the time we had ordered it for. I had the Indonesian breakfast with a fruit platter and chicken fried rice. Jordi chose the American breakfast with egg benedict. Both breakfasts came with fresh juice and coffee.

By having a floating breakfast in our private infinity pool, I could tick off two more of my Bali dreams. Just look at the jungle views from our pool – it was all so beautiful.

Location

Natya Resort Ubud is located in a secluded area of Bali, about a 15-minute drive away from Ubud’s city centre. The secluded area is perfect for a quiet hike along the river and some rice fields.

We started our hike from Natya’s parking lot, and stopped for a picture with some beautiful gates. We then followed the road down towards some rice fields:

After crossing a bridge, we followed the path along the river. It was a beautiful hike, and we didn’t see any other tourists. The locals gave us a friendly greet when we passed by.

If it wasn’t for the price, I would have stayed in Natya Resort Ubud for my full stay in Bali, but unfortunately we could only afford it for one night. I would love to come back again anytime.
