Terrace River Pool Swing in Bali

Another one of my Bali dreams was to try a typical Bali Swing with rice field views. Our plan was to make this dream come true at the insta-famous Bali Swing, but then our driver suggested to go to Terrace River Pool Swing instead. The Terrace River Pool Swing is just as beautiful, but a lot more affordable and closer to the Tegallalang rice fields than Bali Swing.

Prices

It costs IDR 50K (approx. Β£3) per person to enter the Terrace River Pool Swing. This price allows you to take pictures with birds nests, bridges and other instagrammable spots inside the park.

Then there are three different swings at the Terrace River Pool Swings, for which the prices per person are:

  • Extreme Swing: IDR 150K (~ Β£9)
  • Super Extreme Swing: IDR 200K (~ Β£12)
  • Couple Swing: IDR 300K (~ Β£ 18)

Your swing will be pushed 15 times for this price. Jordi and I both had the guts to go for the Super Extreme Swing.

As a comparison, the Bali Swing has an entrance package starting from IDR 150K (~ Β£9) per person, and an active package starting from IDR 500K (~ Β£30) per person. Both packages include a lunch buffet (something that Terrace River Pool Swing does not offer), but the entrance package does not allow you to take pictures with birds nests or swings.

So, if you’re only looking to get some cute pictures with birds nests, you will be 10 times cheaper off at Terrace River Pool Swing. We took the Super Extreme Swing and some beautiful photos inside the park for half the price we would have paid in Bali Swing.

Super Extreme Swing

The Super Extreme Swing at Terrace River Pool Swing made my Bali dream come true. Adrenaline rushed through my body while swinging 45 meters high with rice field views. The staff could see that I was enjoying it, so they told me to let go of my hands and lean backwards. I felt like I was flying.

Other photo spots inside the park

Even if you don’t like extreme swings, the Terrace River Pool Swing is well worth a visit. The rice fields offer plenty of photo opportunities, from cute nests to quirky statues. Here are a few of my favourites:
