Not only did we save on costs by staying in this hotel, but we also got to see more of Thailand by staying in Koh Samui rather than Koh Phangan. With speedboat ferries to the Full Moon party just minutes away and two temples within walking distance, it was a perfect location. P10 Samui hotel itself is also very unique, take a look inside with me…

A look inside P10 Samui hotel

Its swimming pool is definitely (and quite literally) the centrepiece of P10 hotel. Every spacious two-storey room has its patio with private access to the pool. The big windows of the room facing the pool made me feel like I was living in an aquarium at times. When we visited in April, there weren’t any other guests, so we had the pool all to ourselves.Β

Jumping into the pool from our patio at any time of the day and evening was a great experience. Each floor of the room has a shower and a bathroom, and the modern interior made it feel like a luxury place.

Fantastic location

What made our stay even better was the location of the hotel. As the Bangrak Pier is just a minute walk away from the hotel, we had easy access to theΒ Full Moon PartyΒ (and back!). How convenient to roll into your bed after the Full Moon Party – especially when you have a 10.30am pick up to Phuket scheduled the next morning.

About a half an hour walk away from the hotel are the Wat Plai Laem and the Wat Phra Yai temples.

The Wat Plai Laem is a Buddhist temple home to the 18 armed Guanyin – the goddess of mercy and compassion. I also really liked the big golden elephant statue at this temple.

The Wat Phra Yai is also called the Big Buddha temple, and for a good reason. It also has fantastic sea views.
