If you’re looking for a romantic getaway in an adult-only resort, then Lesante Blu in Zakynthos, Greece is all you need.
It is one of the most luxury resorts we’ve stayed at so far, which of course comes at a price. But even if you can only afford to stay for one night, it is so worth it!
In this post I’m sharing why I loved our stay at Lesante Blu so much.

Our stay at Lesante Blu
Our stay at Lesante Blu was a present from Jordi for my 30th birthday. We also got engaged two days before we stayed at Lesante Blu, so we had double reason to celebrate. And honestly I couldn’t have wished for a better birthday & engagement present!
We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite for one night, and this is what we got up to:
- Honeymoon Suite at Lesante Blu
- Dinner in the infinity pool of the Melia Fine Dining restaurant
- Sunrise at the communal infinity pool
- Breakfast in our Honeymoon Suite
Our stay at Lesante Blu started with a warm welcome from the friendly staff, who poured us a glass of champagne while they took our luggage to the Honeymoon Suite. They also explained how everything works in the resort – from all the different dining options they provide to the infinity pool and private beach facilities.Β
From check-in to check-out we have been treated like royals by the staff at Lesante Blu, who made sure that we had a pleasant and care-free stay (and a special celebration of course).Β
Honeymoon Suite at Lesante Blu
The first thing we did when we entered the Honeymoon Suite was take pictures, so this is what our Honeymoon Suite looked like before our luggage and clothes were scattered all over the place:
The Honeymoon Suite was covered with rose petals everywhere, which made it look really romantic. And best of all, we got a complimentary fruit platter and bottle of champagne!*
Also, look at those sea views and our private terrace with sunbeds and private infinity pool. Isn’t it amazing? The picture above doesn’t even show the jacuzzi in the room, which was a really nice thing to have:
Behind the bed you can see the toilet and shower facilities, which really made the jacuzzi area feel like a private spa. And I’m also showing off the complimentary fruit platter and champagne bottle we received – talk about a warm welcome:
After our dinner at the Melia Fine Dining restaurant, we had a little afterparty in the jacuzzi with our bottle of champagne. There was a fridge in our room, so the champagne was nice and cold when we came back from dinner:
So yeah, the Honeymoon Suite at Lesante Blu really has all the ingredients you need for a romantic night: rose petals, sea views, fruit platter, champagne, jacuzzi and private infinity pool. It doesn’t get much better than that right?!
*) PS: Jordi just told me that the rose petals, fruit platter and champagne were provided upon request (now that he knows I’m writing this blog article), but the hotel staff was very happy to accommodate his requests when he emailed them.
Last but not least, the Honeymoon Suite was super clean and all the facilities in the room were in good condition. The staff even told us that because of Covid-19, they make sure that every room at the resort is empty for at least one night between guests.
Dinner in the infinity pool of the Melia Fine Dining restaurant
Have you ever had dinner inside an infinity pool? I didn’t even know it existed until we dined at the Melia Fine Dining restaurant at Lesante Blu. It was the perfect romantic setting for a dinner, with sea views at sunset:
Book your dining experience at Melia Fine Dining in advance
Dinner at the Melia Fine Dining restaurant was not included with the Honeymoon Suite, so we had a separate booking for this experience.Β
There are only about 5 platforms inside the infinity pool, so it’s important that you book your dinner as soon as you book your room at Lesante Blu to avoid disappointment. Tell them you want to have dinner on one of the platforms inside the infinity pool when you make your booking, because the restaurant has other tables as well.
Also, this dinner experience is weather dependent, so if you’re staying more than one night, make sure to book for the first night. If your booking gets cancelled because of bad weather, then at least you can try to reschedule it for the next day.Β
We were told that all the bookings for the night before we went had been cancelled or rescheduled because of the rain, so we felt really lucky that the weather was good on the night that we had our booking.
Taster Menu at Melia Fine Dining
The Melia Fine Dining restaurant is awarded with one FNL star and is named as the “Best Fine Dining Luxury Unique Experience in Southern Europe 2020” by the World Luxury Restaurant Awards, so it was no surprise that the taster menu was really good.Β
When you make your reservation, you can choose between a “non-vegetarian” and a “vegetarian” taster menu. Although we are both meat-eaters, Jordi doesn’t like seafood so he went for the vegetarian option. He ordered the non-vegetarian option for me, and we tasted from each other’s dishes as well.
Both menu options had 8 courses and 2 desserts, and we were both very stuffed at the end of our meal. So it’s not one of those luxury restaurants that leave you hungry after 10 courses of bite-sized food. The dishes actually had a pretty decent size.
I remember having sorbet after our 5th course thinking I was feeling pretty full already, when the waitress came back to the table with our “main course”. Surprise, haha! Also, our last dessert had a candle on it, and the waitresses were singing “Happy Birthday” to me, which was a really nice touch. It was definitely a celebration dinner to never forget.
Sunrise at the communal infinity pool
Although we had our own private infinity pool, we still woke up early to watch the sunrise at the communal infinity pool. Yes, this is the same pool where we had dinner the night before :).
During the day, the platforms inside the infinity pool have sun loungers on them, and these loungers are free for all resort guests. You also don’t need a reservation for the sun loungers. Just walk up to the infinity pool and take a sun lounger that’s still available.
We got our sun lounger as early as 7am, and we were definitely not disappointed with the sunrise views:

Breakfast in our Honeymoon Suite at Lesante Blu
A fresh cooked-to-order breakfast was included in our booking, so we had to choose which breakfast we wanted and at what time we wanted our breakfast the night before.
Obviously we wanted to watch the sunrise before breakfast, so we chose for our breakfast to arrive at 10am. I can only remember choosing the sweet pancakes, orange juice and coffee for breakfast, but we got so much more than that!
When the Lesante Blu staff rang the doorbell of our Honeymoon Suite at 10am, I was very surprised to see he brought a full trolley for our breakfast:
On top of the sweet pancakes, orange juice and coffee we ordered, we also received a basket full of pastries, toasted bread, cereals, fresh Greek yoghurt with honey, salad, fruits, donuts and slices of meat and cheese.Β
We chose to have our breakfast outside on our private terrace with the sea views, but we ended up having our breakfast inside because we got attacked by wasps. The wasps are the only negative thing about our experience at Lesante Blu, but I guess you can’t control nature…
After breakfast, we couldn’t resist but to jump into our private infinity pool one last time before check-out:
I really hope that the Honeymoon Suite, romantic dinner inside the infinity pool with sea views of the Melia Fine Dining restaurant and sunrise views in the morning have convinced you that Lesante Blu is the perfect resort for a romantic getaway:Β
