Romantic Photo Spots with the Eiffel Tower
Now it’s time to show my favourite romantic photo spots with the Eiffel Tower in Paris in a bit more detail.
Most of these spots get really busy during the day, so it’s best to visit them during sunrise. With a bit of luck, the sunrise light gives that touch of extra romance to your Eiffel Tower couple pictures.
Also, the Eiffel Tower is 330 meters tall, so the easiest way to capture it is with a wide-angle camera lens.
Trocadero: The Classic Elegance
Start your romantic photo journey at Trocadero, where the Eiffel Tower stands tall in all its glory.
The Trocadero viewing platform offers a perfect spot to capture the Eiffel Tower’s intricate details while creating a timeless and elegant atmosphere for your photos.
The main viewing platform at the Trocadero gets very busy – even early in the morning. So for quieter pictures, it is better to walk towards the Eiffel Tower, where there’s two staircases going down – one on your left hand side and one on your right hand side.
These pictures are taken from the middle in between those two stairs:

And here we experimented with portrait mode:

Avenue de New York: A Charming Perspective
Stroll down Avenue de New York for a unique perspective of the Eiffel Tower.
The tree-lined avenue provides a romantic frame, allowing you and your loved one to be surrounded by the enchanting beauty of Paris:
At some point when you stroll down Avenue de New York towards the Passerelle Debilly bridge, you’ll see a stairs to go down to a platform next to the river.
The platform next to the Seine is an amazing photo spot to take pictures with the Eiffel Tower, especially when you have a camera with wide angle lens:
This is also an amazing spot to experiment with portrait mode during the day, and to take pictures with a lit-up Eiffel Tower at night:
Passerelle Debilly: Intimate Bridge Moments
For a more intimate setting, head to Passerelle Debilly. This charming footbridge over the Seine River offers a picturesque backdrop, allowing you to capture the Eiffel Tower in a more secluded and personal atmosphere.
Jena Bridge / Pont d'Iena: Iconic Elegance
Crossing the Seine, Jena Bridge (Pont d’Iena) offers an iconic view of the Eiffel Tower. The bridge’s majestic architecture complements the romantic atmosphere, creating a perfect setting for capturing your love against one of the world’s most recognizable landmarks.
Tour Eiffel Garden: Serenity Amidst Beauty
Explore the Tour Eiffel Garden, located at the base of the Eiffel Tower. This tranquil oasis provides a serene backdrop for your romantic photos, surrounded by lush greenery and the enchanting aura of the iconic structure.
Rue de l'Universite: A Not So Hidden Gem
Wander down Rue de l’UniversitΓ© for a charming Parisian street view with the Eiffel Tower in the distance. This charming street exudes romance with its typical Parisian balconies and historic architecture.
I’m sure this photo spot used to be a hidden gem, but these days it’s packed with people trying to take their pictures with the Eiffel Tower. This is what the Rue de l’UniversitΓ© looked like at 11 am on a winter day in December:
We took our couple pictures in a quieter nearby street (Rue de GΓ©nΓ©ral Camou), but unfortunately this street wasn’t as charming as the Rue de l’UniversitΓ©:
Avenue Albert de Mun: Hiding in Plain Sight
This photo spot on Avenue Albert de Mun is hiding in plain sight – it is so close to the overcrowded Trocadero, yet we were the only ones taking pictures with the Eiffel Tower from this spot:
To get here, walk from the Trocadero towards Avenue de New York over the Avenue Albert de Mun. Once you’ve reached the end of the “CitΓ© de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine” building, you’ll see a staircase going up to a platform with a low fence. Climb those stairs et voilΓ‘ – you just found a hidden photo spot with the Eiffel Tower.Β Β
Tuileries Garden: Regal Romance
Conclude your photo journey at the Tuileries Garden, where the combination of lush gardens and the distant Eiffel Tower creates a regal and romantic atmosphere. Ideal for capturing candid moments and the timeless beauty of your love story – and you won’t even need to wake up early for this photo spot.
Conclusion
Paris, with its enchanting landscapes and the iconic Eiffel Tower, provides the perfect backdrop for romantic couple photos that will be cherished forever. Whether you opt for the classic elegance of Trocadero or the intimate charm of Passerelle Debilly, each photo spot offers a unique perspective to capture your love story against the backdrop of the City of Love.
