Santorini

Intro

Santorini must be Greece’s most romantic island, so it’s the perfect destination for travel couples. But even for solo travellers, the beautiful architecture of the island is definitely worth a visit. Think Blue Domes and sea views. Plus, it’s super easy to combine with a trip to Mykonos island.

3 Day itinerary

Day 1 - Arriving in Santorini from Mykonos, Fira

We got to Santorini by ferry from Mykonos island. It worked out cheaper to leave our rental car in Mykonos Port and rent another car in Santorini, rather than taking our rental car on the ferry twice.Β

We then drove the car to our hotel Mythical Blue in Fira / Thira, and walked the streets of Fira looking for the most instagrammable spots. Be careful though – the cobble stones in Fira are super slippery, and I already fell on our first day in Santorini. Luckily I got away with just a few scratches. We ended our day watching a wonderful sunset in Fira.

Day 2 - From Fira / Thira to Imerovigli and Oia

On our second day, we did an early morning photo shoot at the swimming pool of Mythical Blue. It was so beautiful to watch the sun rise over Fira town from the pool.Β

After a tasty breakfast at Mythical Blue, we walked from Fira to Imerovigli. We came across plenty of beautiful spots during this walk, but my favourite spot was the Anastasi Orthodox church in Imerovigli. At the end of the day we drove to our next apartment in Oia, where we also watched the sunset.

Day 3 - Oia photo spots

I absolutely loved our apartment at Prime Suites in Oia. It had a private terrace with sun loungers and a hot tub, and the perfect combination of city views and sea views. Seriously, if I could move there I would in a heartbeat!

Again we spent the early morning doing a photo shoot but this time in Oia, which has so many beautiful spots. After the photo shoot we just spent the rest of our day enjoying our apartment, until we had to catch the ferry back to Mykonos again.
